Gerlach High School essay contest
Are you a senior graduating from Gerlach Schools this year? Do you have strong opinions about the future of public lands? Could you use a little pocket money to ease your transition into adult life?
Stewards of Black Rock Desert has launched an essay contest open to graduating seniors of Gerlach K-12 School. The topic for 2025 will be “What do Public Lands Mean to Gerlach?”
- Prize is a $500 scholarship
- Entries due May 31, 2025
- Essays must be original works no longer than 1000 words
- Entries that do not pass a plagiarism/AI detection process will be disqualified
